One becomes immaculate and pure, by associating with the Saints, O Nanak, and taking the Protection of the Transcendent Lord. ||1|| 🌸

The burning of the heart is not dispelled at all, by sandalwood paste, the moon, or the cold season. 🌸

🌷 Insight:
This line points out that worldly comforts like sandalwood paste, the coolness of the moon, or even the cold season cannot alleviate the inner turmoil or “burning” one may experience. 🌷

It only becomes cool, O Nanak, by chanting the Name of the Lord. ||2|| 🌸

🌷 Insight:
The conclusion suggests that true peace and relief from inner turmoil come from chanting the Name of the Lord. It’s a potent reminder of the healing power of devotion. 🌷

🌸 Review:
This Salok offers profound insights into the path of devotion and the role of spiritual community in one’s life. It highlights that worldly comforts are insufficient for inner peace and true tranquility can only be attained through devotion and association with saints. 🌸
